Small sleeve between intake manifold and carb on MS180 what’s its function?

What function does stihl intake sleeve (the small plastic or nylon ring that sits between the rubber intake manifold and the carb part number 1130 141 1800) have? Mine has a small crack and I wonder if it could cause an air fuel mixture problem. Any advice on replacement or aftermarket replacement? Thanks

It appears that the the large opening just bridges the carburetor to the intake manifold boot while the small tube/hole bridges the impulse port. I would imagine a crack in there could mess with the impulse. Several options to buy can be easily Googled with several saw stores selling them or taking a look at ebay/Amazon:

• Amazon: Haishine - 3 pack Intake Manifold Boot with sleeve ($7.98)
• Ebay: Stihl - Sleeve ($7.20) open box condition

I have had good luck so far with Stihl parts and aftermarket parts from both Ebay and Amazon.
