Is it pig nut or shag bark and does it really make a difference? I am sue there is a lot to learn as how to cut it so as to minimize the pieces that do not cure straight.

this was a barter job. copper flashing for that load in the truck 300-400$. i had to much of it. no branches till 40 feet.it seems a crime to use it for firewood. this was shag bark , i cut it last winter. it was starting to get buggy in the sap wood area.

That's some sweet looking wood, I'd love to get my hands on some hickory!
