I've got an old Lafont splitter.
Basic 8hp, 16 gallon pump setup.

Recent problem, the ram will hesitate and stop for a split second when encountering a knot or tough spot in a block.

Straight grain it works flawlessly with zero hesitation.

Have changed filters and fluid with no improvement. Wanted to get a second opinion before I replace the pump.

Thanks

I have the same splitter. It was doing that when the fluid was low I believe.
