Spruce Tree Bark Disorder?

I live outside of Albany NY..on some back acerage there are many variety of pines. A certain kind of these..don't know what the species is...has developed red shedding bark. Is this caused by parasites or a disease of some sort? Sorry I have no more info.

My trees look exactly like that. I'm glad it's normal..my brother was worried.
