Stupid question , how do you unhook the throttle linkage on a 024 AV.
The saw has the WT22 non compensating carb on it.
I assume the Walbro WT-194-1 replaced the WT22.
Their doesn't seem to be an aftermarket replacement for the WT-194-1.

Remove the screw in the handle, located on the bottom rear then remove the throttle rod from the trigger.
Clean the crud that collects in there while you have it apart.

The WT 22 and the 194 are cheap and easy to rebuild. Both are made by Walbro which can be bought from many sources for 50 to 60 bucks if you want a new one.
The rebuild kit is the same for both carbs i think. WAT-20 is the #, it's late so thinking is optional but that kit will do most of the WT carbs.

Thanks, when I took it apart I did it like Nate said.
It works just have to flex the linkage.
Putting it back together I will take the screw out of the handle and do it that way.
It will give me a chance to do more cleaning.
I think I will treat the saw to a new carb, and rebuild the one on it for a backup.

I took the handle top off to hook up the carb linkage.
It wasn't quite as easy as I hoped, comes off easy enough, but not quite as easy to put back on.
Lets just say if you're finger slips you can launch the safety part of the trigger into a near by bush.
If you happen to be working on it outdoors.

I'm happy to say it's back together and running well.
Just needs to be tuned in wood.
Now if I can just borrow a log from somewhere.
