Stihl 031AV - oil leak problem

I've got an old 031AV that sees little use most years. It leaks oil from around the oil adjustment screw on the bottom of the case. Been getting progressively worse over the years, and can get pretty messy during the heat of the summer. I'm not sure how the oil adjustment screw is sealed against leakage. Is this a possible bad o-ring, gasket, or ???? Is there anything I can do that can fix this leak? Thanks in advance.

Where is the oil adjustment screw?

No, that's not it. I don't have a picture handy, but it is on the bottom of the case, and is recessed into the case. It takes a flathead screwdriver to adjust it. The case has a + and - marking so you know which way to adjust for more or less bar oil flow.

Is it #6 in the parts blowup?

#10 is an O-ring,
you will need to get the sprocket and cover off to get to the pump.

In the exploded view diagram, #6 is the adjustment screw I'm referring to, and the oil is leaking from around that. So, maybe replacing that o-ring and the #17 part might fix the leak?

#17 is just a thing to keep gunk out of the chamber under the cover.

Ok, that diagram helps a lot, as does your help. I think I'll dive in and try and replace that o-ring, possibly the entire oil pump. Fingers crossed........

Well, taking off the cover, and oil pump gears take a little finnesse and knowledge, so post with pics and questions when you get there.
