Stihl 032 Problem

I have a stihl 032 that i've changed just about everything in it when it runs i can go thru a tank of gas and filled it up wont start untill cools down. it hot outside when cold out it wont run in wood is it the coil doing this ? i installed new points ,fuel lines ,new carp,filter ,intake boot is fine

Loks to me like vapor lock problem,meaning that the fuel inside your carb is"boiling".The problem is more apparent when after working,you fill up the tank and when you want to restart it,you need a lot of choke and pull to bring back fresh gas back in the carb.To avoid this problem,try to run your saw a bit richer and avoid emptying ou the tank completely and let the saw cool down while running idle for few minutes before filling.

Vapor lock in the 032 is rare as the carb is completely isolated from the "heat".


One step at a time... Do you have spark when it won't start?

The one time I did check no it did not but with a little time it fired back up ok

but didnt runn well

any thoughts ?
