STIHL 041 CHAINSAW BACKFIRE

I do hope that someone can help. suddenly out of the blue my 041 on cold start up backfires as I am pulling the pull cord, it backfires out of the muffler, then I retry and then it will start after a hard pull, not sure is timing out , some sort of piston lock, really weird how it suddenly started, hope that someone can help, regards David.

Check fly wheel key

@David Mayers Pull your spark plug out and pull it over several times to make sure cylinder isn't full of oil or fuel.
