Stihl 041 Ignition Question

Hi Guys,

I am in the middle of rebuilding a early model 041 but it has this type of igntion installed.

Now it didn't have spark when I pulled it apart ( needs a pistion replacement) so the question is there anyway I can test this with a Ohm's meter to see if it is any good ?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Remove that grey cap and look at the points.
