So, old saw , ran until couple of years ago, was seldom used for 10+ years... pulled it apart, replaced fuel lines, filter, plug - thanx to a thorough Youtube vid... (I'll post the link if anyone wants ) .. But I gave up after couldn't get it to fire up & took it to a shop. Nice guys fortunately, told me I needed a new ignition coil - wasn't getting good spark & for them to do the work is nearly the cost of the new $199 small saw. So, bought what is supposed to be a kind of generic replacement but - it only has one connection for a wire, it came with a red & a black but, where does the 2nd one go ? There isn't a screw on it to attach the ring connector to... there is a flat spade type on the coil but that is all I see. Suggestions ? Is it just the wrong coil? 1st pic old - 2nd pic is the new one.
