I like to build 044s. I have one here that I have replaced the bearings, seals, piston, clutch, gaskets, fuel line, impulse line, etc. with new oem parts. The carburetor has been rebuilt with an oem kit. I cranked up the saw a couple weeks ago and it ran good an oiled good. Today it was very hard to get started. The saw has very strong compression and will jerk the handle out of your hand. I would like to sell this one and move on to building more saws. I would keep this one and use it but I have many saws and I would rather keep one with a decomp. The saw is 100% oem except for the air filter. The saw has scuffs and scratches and it has a small crack in the clutch cover. This saw probably needs a little tweaking with the carburetor settings but it otherwise should be good.

Well, I’ve sold saws with many aftermarket parts for $400+ so I’d say $425 for this one since it is 99% oem

Saw starts easy and runs good now. Apparently there is a difference between the two 1128 stihl flywheels. I’ll cut some wood with it sometime and see. If anyone is interested, it’s still for sale
