Stihl 064 oiler hose

How far down on the barbs on the fitting on the oil pump of an 064 should the oil hose be? It seemed to just be hanging off the end when I first looked in there, which I suspect is why the oiler is not working and the saw leaks lots of oil. And how do you remove that oiler hose to replace it? It seems to be stuck in the crankcase pretty good. thanks.

Bumping up the old thread.

I too am having trouble getting the hose off the crankcase. I yanked at it and the hose ripped off the brass fitting at the tip and now I cant get the brass fitting off the crankcase!! Someone help!

The brass fitting pushes out backwards toward the front of the saw, it's tapered.

Thanks! It popped out with just a little bit of leverage from the underside.
