rebuilding my 090,will post pictures when i'm done.i need a little advice.i noticed the crank shaft showed signs of heating up due to slippage of the speith adaptor.now,i'm going to replace the adaptor, but would it be wise to put some loctite in this area or that unnecessary?any help would be appreciated.thanks,robert.

lakeside, the speith adapter is located inside the clutch carrier.the crank shaft slides through it and it is held in place by tightening on the nut at the end of the shaft.

Absolutely don't use any loctite... In my book it's just called an "Adapter Sleeve". I'll look at my 090 machine and manual at work tomorrow to make sure of what your issue is. Somebody else may be able to help before I get to it...

Make sure you have all the parts and they were assembled in the right order - crank>adapter sleeve>ring>large washer>nut.
