Stihl 090 sheet metal muffler not aluminum

It's already a great Christmas --wife gave me a Stihl 090--I found out because FedEx delivered it a day early and she wasn't home to sign for it--

It has serial number 9831844 and it has a sheet metal muffler not a cast aluminum one. Is this a stock or aftermarket muffler? Anyone know what year this saw is? I'll post some pics when I get chance.

Now I have to rethink her Christmas gift, what the heck do you get a wife who buys you an 090??

I have a 090 non G that has a sheet metal muff and its mid seventies as far as I know!

the metal 090 contra muffler is less common and made to be quiet and also a spark arrestor.
