Stihl 090G

Old stihl 090g anybody have one? I got one a little while back. I took it all apart and found that the inside of the fuel tank is painted. Is this normal? The paint is pealing off and I was going to remove it all before I put it back together. Is there any reason to repaint the inside again? Thanks SC

Lemme guess, it was all bubled out? I had an 090 do that too. I just stripped every bit of it off with some heavy duty paint remover. worked like a charm.
