Stihl 261

So I'm looking at a saw that's a 2010 Stihl 261. The sticker says "261", no letters after it. It has the H, L and LA carb adjustment holes on the right side. Guy selling it says it's an m-tronic. True or false?

Take the cover off and look. I kinda remember the early 261 M-Tronics used the old carburetor covers.

Are you a saw guy? Mechanically inclined? The normal saws (non-mtronic) are the ones to go with. If not, look for the M….

If you’re serious, pull the trigger as soon as you find one…Stihl saws are very hard to get in these trying times…and it’s only going to get much worse…

No worries. Wasn't going to buy the saw anyway. I was asking as a favor to the guy selling it because he thought it was an m-tronic model. But I always appreciate helpful, thought provoking comments like, "you snooze, you loose"....

The M-tronics have a 3-position on/off switch, the non M’s have a 4 position switch.
