If anyone cares to share? .. is anyone using these skid plates/tank guards on their machine?

I suppose I don't understand the overall benefit, sorta. .. Wouldn't this cause an oil mess?

I have one on my 261, saw it on eBay for about $20 and thought ‘why not’. Kinda depends on how you handle your saw I guess, I know a guy who constantly drops his saw on the ground from a slightly bent position. He would benefit from using one of those.
