I bought some chain for my 026, same stuff as usual 23 rs pro 67 / 3637 002 0067 but when I got home and opened the boxes They all seem to be some kind of Carbide chain (RD3 I think).

So I went back to the store and looked at the boxes and they are all the same. It's like a chain with a carbide tip soldered on. Did Stihl change their chain or part numer or is this some kind of mess up?

The dealer didn't know either but they are a generic store not a stihl dealer.

I actually know of several guys that think that carbide chain is the best/sharpest chain they could get their hands on, not everyone can sharpen a chain correctly ,either hand filling or machine grinding. I see some terrible looking and performing chains on decent saws, some come in for repair and leave with a nicely filed and setup chain , I see others when out and about cutting up storm damaged trees, I would swear that the chain would cut better if mounted backwards.
