Stihl chainsaw question on SNumbers and where made

I have 2 Stihl MS 441 C-M chainsaws. I bought them from 2 different Stihl Dealers.

One had Germany on the bar and the other had Brazil on the bar.

The Serial Numbers on the 2 saws are:
172721524
176942345

Does the Serial Number tell where it was made?

Have there been any changes in the 441 since it started production that one saw may have the other doesn't?

If you had to keep one of the saws and sell the other, which one would you keep?

I've heard 441 and up are German manufactured. Bars are made made in both companies.

The first digit means it was made in
1=Germany
2=U.S.A.
3=Brazil
