Got the saw all sealed up ready for vacuum and compression testing. I am a little ahead of myself but had nothing to do. I ended up using a DH bike tube which is 2MM thick and worked perfectly!

Perfect. Man is that thing clean now. You might not be able to use it after because it may be allergic to dirt now. Lol hope all your test work well for you. Don't over pressurize it. I think 5lbs is fine.

This is from the Stihl site.

I looked 2 days ago and there was not on the site and I haven't seen one in stock this year at a dealership

I heard from a guy on youtube that they are bringing back the 441 in the spring, he wast sure, though. That would be awesome!

So, I got my tester in early and gave her a go. I have a few questions.
1. with 9 psi there were no noticeable bubbles form both seals.
2. the pressure slowly and i mean slowly dropped over 30 seconds a few psi.
3. I performed a vacuum test. Same way, pressure slowly dropped a few over about 30 sec.
It dropped noticeable as i spun the crank when under vacuum.
4. there were no noticeable bubbles coming from intake boot or base gasket.

So finally, is this small slow leak an issue, I tested every opening, spark plug, deccomp valve everything no noticeable bubbles.
I am assuming this small leak is coming from the rubber sandwiched between the carb and intake boot, or the exhaust side.
What do you guys think, i would say it is fine.

What did you hook the line to? Impulse nipple? If you moving the crank your either creating or eliminating air space, thus it would effect the pressure I believe as in your case. If you are not seeing any Leaks from the crankshaft seals in the form of active bubbles, I'd say your good.

PS I see dirt in the corners of the case!!!!! Completely unacceptable!! Lol

Update, i found the pressure leak it was in the connection on the tool it self-were i stepped down to a smaller hose so i could connect to the impulse line.
Anyways i fixed it and under pressure it is holding good at 10 Psi but under vacuume at 10Hg as i turn the crank i can hear slight popping coming from the clutch side crank seal meaning there is a slight issue there it, sucking air passed the seal, very slightly but it is. should i just replace the seals anyways, i already orderd a kit with a new gasket kit or should i leave them.

I wanted to play it safe, so i took the seals out. I already have new ones coming and i am this far into the saw i might as well. They came out fairly easy, i just made the screwdriver puller real quick and hit the handle with a hammer as i was pulling up, they popped right out, no damage on anything else. IMG_1601.JPG IMG_1600.JPG he rubber lips on the seals felt stiff anyways so it was probably a good idea.

Is that a 20 skip tooth on their? She must fly through wood with that.
Also is that JBweld on the saw in the muffler bay?

Yes and yes, the guy I bought it from dropped it from a tree and broke the muffler support studs, I just jb welded them in to make sure they don't come out, I have been looking for a good used case but have yet to find one. The aftermarket for this saw is non existent. And yes the saw rips through wood with the skip and 20" bar.

If you could post a video of it ripping through some wood that'd be cool.

Nothing crazy just some fresh oak recently cut at work, about 18" diameter id say. I am fairly new to tuning saws so if anyone had suggestions i am open.
