distinguishing marks?IT looks like it was hit by a truck!:) From what I can measure it has about a 1.7 bore, don't have a long enough torx to pull the cyl yet.It had the old air cleaner like a 076.Any ideas?

Ouch, broke saw and a broke camera. Is there any stamped Stihl numbers on say the cylinder head? It should be a xxx-xxx-xxxx type number. That would be the biggest help.

+1... YEP!

(you dropped an x... xxxx-xxx-xxxx)

the first four digit on any major part will indicate The family of the saw.

041

Kind of took Husky Hustler's advice, googled the number on the fan wheel and it came back as an 041.Using the search and found this saw has quite a following. It has points ignition ,can't get the flywheel off yet,but the condenser has come loose and is flopping around!Ebayed and found alot of parts available.Thinking about doing a complete rebuild, bearings seals rings.Worth fixing up?Never gone quite that deep in a saw ,but have overhauled everything from briggs to Cat and deitroit diesels. On Acres site I learned that the super has alot bigger bore .Would a super cyl fit on a regular farm boss?
Thanks for the help guys Russ
