Does anyone out there know how the throttle rod attaches to the throttle arm on a Stihl MS211? I was replacing an oil line last night and had to loosen the handle enough to maneuver around. It was enough to cause the rod to pop out. The rod is straight and there are no spots on the arm that would be indicative of a positive engagement. Does the rod just make contact with the flat plate only? Seems like and odd design.....

Yes, it isn't attached, you have to arrange the rod so that its plain end locates into the hole behind the throttle trigger (flat plate) and the trigger just rides on the rod such that it's actuated by the bend in the rod as you pull the handle trigger. I agree, it is a bit of a strange design.
