Where can I buy Sigihara Bar for my 2149 Jonsereds? Need 16 or 18 .325 58
hev.com
They are the importer and are on ebay. I both two from them. Very good bars!
If you assume my saw is stock (its not) and worth say, $300...Your example would be saying a Sugihara is $900? Bad example in my opinion.... I have a 20 inch Total Super Bar on another 2149 but it is front heavy. I just happened upon the 20 cheap and bought it. (I have several other SuperBars I would sell)They are nice bars and I don't know about the small mount sizes, but I think you could find the Jonsered labled Total bars much easier and cheaper. Those should be on the dealers shelves where your saw came from. I think the Total branded Tsunarma's are every bit of the bar that the Sugi's are.
I'm not trying to be a smartazz or anything, but why such a bar on that saw. I think the standard Oregon model would outlast your saw. Kinda like these kids puttin $3000 dollar stereo's in $1000 cars.
How about tips? I have an old 42 that is like to have some extras for.
Thanks I will contact them.
The Husky 42 is a great little saw when paired up with a narrow kerf 16" bar and chain.
I was actually referring to a 42" sugihara guide bar lol.
Yeh, the 20 Total I don't really like front heavy, but I prefer shorter anyway. I have 15 Oregon on my slightly modded Redmax GZ4500. I like that and 14 on the PS401 modded. I cut a lot of firewood from some hairy fencerows and longer bar just gets tangled more. Or maybe its just me.....In Husky small mount, 16" and 18" Sugi will be heavier than Oregon Pro-Lite, but lighter than Power Match and Total.
Sugi makes good bars, but I like the weight and feel of the Pro Lite better on a 346xp. Doesn't matter much to me though, as I have both.
The longest bar listed on the Sugihara website for Huskies is a 38" bar, and unless you've twinned a 42, it's not quite enough saw for such a bar
Nice! Thanks for sharing clean sawsIs this what your looking for?......18" .325 X .058...$50 from the dealer on ebay
Nice! Thanks for sharing clean saws
Yeh, I have several new Husky bars I would like to sell.LOL...Thanks... but they were all totally fresh built together and had yet to be in wood when those pics were taken!! Long story... but if you have any interest use the site search engine "49SP and 70E Build From Scratch"...LOL then you'll see why they are so clean!!! The two 49sp in that both carry 18" .325..the one with the Sugi just plain balances and handles so much better than it's counterpart with a regular laminated Husky 18" bar it isn't even funny....
