Stihl Lookin' for an old Stihl 046 IPL

Went to my local Stihl parts guy and all he had was the IPL for the MS460. I have an old 046 that has a different (older) air cleaner base set up. I know its missing at least one piece, 'cause it sure aint going together the way it is!

Hello All,

Actually I have 2 questions:

1) Does anyone know where to find the parts / service manuals for a Stihl
044 saw

2) Does anyone know where I would start looking to correct a sluggish
acceleration ? It tops out fine, I changed the plug to the correct one
and it accelerates smoothly but it's kinda slow and sluggish getting there

Sounds like you have to adjust the L and the idle (to start with) on the carb.
