Nice wood.
Most of the cherries round these parts are crooked and broken....

I do have three 20" x14 logs for my CSM whenever i get a chance to play with it.

Thanks for sharing.

i see your taking a rain day too. whats the price per thou. on the cherry and hard maple these days? do you think i would be better selling the 18" cherry now or giving them a couple years?

Cherry is going from 250/thou. for pallet grade to 8$/ft. for A+ slicer.
It's a lot of fun cutting this stuff.

Hi Andy, just the crown went for firewood. The trunk yielded three 10' veneer logs and one 8' sawlog.
Hi Thall10326, ya I remember that one well. The cowardly lion from Wizard of Oz sung that one. lol
Here's another one I caught in flight.

I remember that one. Must not have wanted it to get lost. LoL
I did that with my saw. the tree turn before falling, Pinched the bar and then fell on the saw. Cost me a new tank and handle. I got lucky could have ended up like Johns.

Nothing you can't buff out there Andy. Now that the tractor is paid off I was thinking of trading in the old 05 Dodge for a new one. Hey, you can borrow money and pay interest, but they can't take your soul.:blob2:

Anyway fellas, I'm getting a reasonable collection of peelers in spite of all this rain.:bang:

Incredible, that is some nice wood John!!! I can get that around here, if you like them at around 12" dia., but not much that big, and no cherry:cry:

Sometimes the smaller wood is good for a change, it's just that you need more chokers.
It's hard to put things into perspective as to size, but his a 385 for comparison. The little tractor works great for these postage stamp size landings.

That is close to the type of woods I work in, mine is a little tighter and mostly all white Oak. I need to get back out and start thining it so some o the larger trees can grow larger. Take out three and leave two, you know. Then the cedars can fill in the holes or me :taped:
