I’ve seen numerous postings on how much space to leave between green giants with much conflicting information. I planted close to twenty a year ago approximately 6 1/2 to 7ft apart with the goal of establishing privacy between my neighbors house and mine. In hindsight I wish I staggered them in two rows instead since I have the space. Is 6 1/2 to 7ft enough space for them to be healthy and grow tall enough ten to fifteen years from now or will they become too overcrowded by then and start to have problems?

That being said, should I leave them as is or consider creating two rows. staggering every other one, If I moved every other one forward, that would leave about 13 to 14ft space between each one in the ordinal row. Would that be too wide a gap even if I put one between them in front? How far could I bring out the second row?
