Tips on how to raise an evergreen

I am a beginner when it comes to planting trees. I plan on
transplanting a young evergreen soon. Could you please give me some
information about how much water, the type of soil, etc., that an evergreen
needs? A name of another site that can would also be helpful. Thank you.

I swore I was gonna stop replying to people that ASSUME we know where they are! Climate? weather? What type of 'evergreen' tree? Where do I start?

There are all-weather evergreens at KMart, but ususally the only come out at Christmas.

I thought taht was Alberta spruce or mugo. You seem to be able to buy them anyhwere. I got a little M. 'Mops' in a pot out side.
