I got a call from a a guy wanting to sell 3 saws and a hedge trimmer.
55 husky, 116 Dolmar 440 husky and echo hedge trimmer. He said the 116 was locked up, 440 runs and 55 was low compression. I bought them. I was expecting to find a burnt up 116 and 55 and that’s not the case. The Dolmar is rough, muffler is half gone and at least one broken isolator but the piston is perfect it’s not locked up and all I noticed is a broke coil wire. The 55 looks new inside too. The 440 runs fine, might have that sold already. 955E4B08-49C0-4A5E-8304-5818949AE86D.jpegD8A2A127-941A-42F6-A6C3-DBC7056F8404.jpegD491B753-C816-49AC-9ADD-CFF86B0A4488.jpeg2AD7135A-4016-41A0-9E73-B1C1E11FAF38.jpeg

How does one get on that calling list? Rachel at dealer services never offers free saws.

It would cost about $1600 plus tax to buy them all new. So, you can afford to spend $600 in new or used parts to get them all running and still come out way ahead. A. Palmer and I are both rather envious. Steals like this make the world go around.
I like keeping the old stuff running. Many reasons for it but the simple one is I enjoy it.

If that's an Echo hedge trimmer it's worth at least half of what you paid for all of it. I have one that looks like it, bought a few years back and it is super dependable...
And yes, I'm always on the lookout for super deals like that..
Yeah, that motor is used on mantis/little wonder tillers/hedge trimmers. They are tough as nails. Have one at the shop at school has hundreds of hours on it and runs well. My mantis tiller and 30” little wonder hedge trimmer use that same engine too.
