Where can I find the best trees fro yard use pictured and described? I need
to replace a Shade tree ( was a maple with shallow roots and poor grass
gowth under. What would be a good replacement - Chattanooga). Have been
told that Sugar Maple is good and the University of Georgia Elm. What can
you advise?

Tree Suggestions

There are many shade trees which could fit the bill. Autumn Purple Ash, Red Sunset Maple, Shade Master Honey Locust, Marshall Seedless Ash, Sweet Gum , Greenspire Linden. Search some of your local Garden Centers for pictures, I'm sure they would have books on hand, as well as you might be able to view the tree right on the spot.
If I am looking on the Net, I do a key word search of "Nurseries". most of these sights have many colorful Pictures. One particular Nursery has an outstanding sight. J. Frank Schmidt and Sons, of Oregon.
