tuning with rev. limiter

I have a ryobi 10532 that I just muffler modded! I'm getting with my 2-storke guy tonight to it dailed in! He is bring home a tach from work! What is the best way to tune a saw with a rev. limited egnition? I herad they could be tricky!!!!! All help is welcome!!!! Thank you

What is the rev limit on the coil? It should be stamped on it. That is the highest it will let you go. If it is four-stroking just before the limiter thats were you are going to want to keep it. Tune by ear and with the tach and see what you can come up with.

Thanks for your help, I will see if I can find the max rev. on the limiter. I think i'm just going to get a log and play with it! If I blow it up, o'well thats how I learn! The hard way!
