For you climbers out there who set lines in trees using a throwline...
got my QVC (qvc.com) folding cubes, 3 of them in the U.S. mail priority shipping. My total price,
including shipping, taxes etc. was $26.27. That price includes one cube the same size as the original (I never measured the original but it feels about the same size), and then two more of smaller sizes. The smallest one is 12" to a side. Really good for those packing trips where size and weight is critical...
The material they are made from is virtually identical to the original German ones. Except for the throw line holder and velco closure.
My heart really goes out to the guy who invented these. I trust he protected his patent in some way...
(Another small craftsman/business pushed out by offshore business?)
