Thought this was interesting.
They are harvesting 450 year old logs from a river in Ontario Canada.
Mostly hardwoods.

I think they've been doing that in The Great Lakes too. I'm sure they get some good looking wood.

I saw that episode too! I kept thinking about how great a business they had!!

I also check the boards on Yahoo's milling group site. There's an amazon company that's getting underway in the last couple years doing the same thing. Very cool.
