First let me say I can't believe how much they want for a new one. This is my question; are there any one way check valves pressed into the carborator body? Reason I ask, I was rebuilding the carb and I use a torch tip cleaning to clean out the jets and I inserted the wire into a hole under the diaphram. Anyway I think it holds the gas while depressing the primer bowl.

the hi speed nosel is a check valve. if you punched a hole in it you will need a new one
