I hope this is the right place for this.
I am building a pond as I have said in the past. If I leave walnut trees around the banks and on the island in the middle, will that taint the water black so fish will not survive? It was a theory I had. Also is it possible for the water to be too acidic for a pond to support life? Where the pond is going there were about 135 walnut trees. Anyone in central Ohio lookin' for any quality walnut timbers. I got a lot of them. The rest is firewood!

Central Ohio? I'd call Pike Lumber company believe there near you, I hear they pay top dollar for Walnut and other more exotics. That stuff aint firewood, selling some of em (if theres any size to them) would most assuredly more than pay for that pond.
