I have a fig tree that I can't get the figs off of. My tree is full of wasps,
yellow jackets and carpenter bees. The wasp has a nest in the tree. Could you
please tell me something I can do so I can enjoy eating my figs.

Malathion will knock down flying insects quickly. Get the liquid and use a hose-end sprayer to apply. If you pull off the little wing deflector from the end of the sprayer you can spray 15-20 feet. It isn't necessary to use it especially strong, a diluted mix will work fine. The spray and sprayer are available at Home Depot or any garden shop. Wash the fruit well before eating though.
