Water Heater

I am planning to put in a Heatmor 200 and have a question. I got a 80 gallon water heater with the gas valve that went bad but tank is good. Would I gain anything if I add it in line to add more water storage? Would I use less wood or have longer burn times or is it a waste of time? I know i will have a little extra plumbing to do but I don't care about that. Thanks

80 gal is not going to add very much btu storage. If you went with a smaller DHW heater than you could add it to your DHW storage.
