Your saw is outside my experience, but I've ported a few reed-valve Pioneers with good results. The usual stuff applies: Depending on the squish you'd end up with, you may be able to eliminate the jug gasket. Then, at least, raise and maybe widen the exhaust port a bit. Maybe work the transfer ports, if you can. Use a degree wheel, so you'll know where you're at. Case matching, port matching, muff mod, etc., etc. Maybe a bigger carb? Timing advance may help. Anyway, there is no intake port to deal with. Good luck with your project!
