Spoke to the ex-partner/pioneer-partner/ poulan pro-partner distributer for most of the midwest today. He is semi retired, at 82 (only open on saturday) He said electrolux was such a huge company in europe that they had the money to absorb all the others, he said in dealer meetings they told us that they wanted to absorb the pioneer, partner, saws and the well known in the usa poulan brand, they also wanted to have only husky and not jonsered in the usa, but that did not work. he said the partner/poulan/pioneer blend did not work either because of brand loyal customers to each brand saw. he said in the late 70's early 80's he distributed just in Wisconsin about 1800 Partner saws a year to the dealer network. After the merger years the dealers lost intrest, went to brands such as stihl, and took their customers, who were once brand loyal with them. He sold Pioneer, Alpina/Castor, Poulan Pro, out of his shop. Still has a ton of parts, lots of part from bought back dealer inventory.

Don't say that too loud or he'll have hordes of CAD victims pounding on his door, unless that's what he wants. Maybe he has a grandson with a digital camera and hot laptop to inventory the parts and post 'm on eBay

Maybe this fella could get some help from a computer savvy individual and post those parts in the classifieds on ArboristSite.EVA sawman could you do this?

Getting this guy to sell stuff on the site or e-bay may be a challenge, the other partner shop I know was one of his dealers he was also a Poulan Pro dealer Lots on nos he is also semi-retired ( 77 years young ) these guys have to be eased into an idea. The shop that was a Partner Dist. has a whole building full of nos parts, new engine cases, cyl, gaskets etc.etc. he alsodoes some mail order repair on Alpina/Castor and has parts. For right nowif someone needs something I will try to get it, otherwise I will have to ease them both into the idea.
