Hi group. I've never seen a bar like this. Anybody know what it is? Care to elaborate on the design?
I do know that it is a small bar, 16" if I'm not mistaken. This picture is from a recent ebay auction.

Hmmm, I hope the attached picture shows up in this message. My first attachment, and I'm not too good with 'puters.

Thanks,
Bill

It's just a roller-tip bar. Once upon a time they were everywhere, but now they're a rarity. Instead of having a sprocket with teeth, it just has a roller disc that will accomodate any pitch chain that is the correct gauge. Reduced friction is the benefit and these bars are popular with racers for that reason.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I've never seen one like that. It looks like it might be a problem keeping it clean, but it has a high "coolness factor".
