What kind of tree is this?

i think the first picture is aspen and the last pictures are black willow. both are very soft, will burn very fast. These types of wood i used during warm weather.
 
Willow is a pain, it doesnt burn good, by the time it dries out enough to be burned it is almost rotten, and it's usually huge and hard to handle.
 
Harry, i.e. turnkey, seems to be our resident expert on willow. I suspect that now that he has found more locust than he knows what to do with, the willow might be given away or sold at a very cheap price.
 
The first few pics, the rounds on the train tracks and the log that turns from a scaly gray to white bark, sure look like Eastern Cottonwood to me. Populus deltoides .
