What size 026 piston is this? No marking

An 036 has 25% more displacement than an 026. It’s a much much more powerful saw.

There’s still no replacement for displacement.

The lil 026 is a tough little saw though. Open the muffler, advance the timing by filing the keyway .025, and see if you can find a metal air filter for it.

Here’s an 026. Obviously not a quick cut, but it did it.

Did a cold compression test on both saws today. They each only ran half a tank though since the rebuild and sat for two weeks.

026: 135-140 psi
036: 130 psi

Both with new piston and Caber rings
 
Took both my 026 and 036 out for a ride and timed some cuts. Kept cutting with the 026 because I felt it got slower each time. Might be the wood though. Both still are on their first tank of mix since rebuild.
