I always put a socket down around the end of the crank against the flywheel and give it a pretty good whack with a hammer to seat it in place before I put the nut on. This has always worked well for me.

Bumping an old thread. I've built all of my 460s and hybrids according to this recipe for the last 4 years. The only difference is that I use the stock piston and turn a .035" pop-up on it. Everything else remains the same. Short blown, long intake, and timing advance are the key ingredients.

Are there any videos of the raffle saw? Or your favorite build?
