i have cut trees before, but i just got a job for cutting about 50 maybe even more alder trees, most of them are about 11 in thick, most of the alders are at the bottom of a cliff, the owner wonts me to fall them and leave them were they stay so no pulling or hauling away, also theres more alders that are on the cliff itself, the cliff isnt really a cliff, but its no where close to being a hill, i wont really need ropes to tie off, i have fallen trees before but not anywhere close to as many, also i keep hearing how dangerous alders are, i would like to know the proper way of cutting alder trees, with out them snap, or "barber chain" im not sure what that means but ive heard it, i keep hearing how dangerous alders are but i dont know really what they do, or how to pervent it? also what should i bid this job, i was thinking any where between $1400-$1600, what do you think?
