Which Husqvarna??

Which Husqvarna would work for goin up and gettin bout 3 loads a day?? or is it just worth it to get a Stihl???

how often will you use the saw?
how much money do you want to spend?
how fast do you want it to cut?


Either Stihl or Husqvarna will be a good reliable saw, the decision is all yours.

well i was thinkin maybe the 346 xp or 455R i dont really care how much money i spend but i will be using it about every day and shouldnt need more then a 18 to 20 inch bar, or as far as stihl goes i was thinkin about the 36 pro. up around here alota of people call for fire wood so we are working pretty steadily throughout the day and week

The 346XP isn't going to have as much power as the 455R but it is an all around nicer saw and more purpose built to meet the needs of what you need to do. both saws off the size bar you need.

They are the Exact Same Saw however the 346XPG has a heated handle and a heated carburetor. the 346Xp does not have those fancy options for cold weather.

455 is a piece of crap. If our gonna make the investment get the best saw you can afford. If its between a higher power homeowner saw and a lower powered pro saw around same value. I would buy the lower powered pro saw. It will last the average home owner a life time if cared for.

Im not much on huskies but I would prolly look at an Xp.
for a stihl 361 is a great saw power to weight ratio is pretty sweet

For you Husky fans I am not bashing husky as a brand just the 455 in general. I have seen several people with new 455's running back to the dealer for repairs related to low quality control from the factory.

thank you guys but i think i might buy both i gotta friend that has 2 brand new 455s i can probably get one for 150 bucks so really ill get a 346 and a 455 for the jeep saw and the 346 for the workin saw

Based on the limited information you've given, I'd say a Stihl MS361 or a Husky 357XP.

A 357 will be more suited to an 18-20 inch bar than a 346, and they are nice saws. The 361 is great saw too.

Just depends what colour you want (taking dealer support etc out of the equasion). From you name and and question title, I figured it was a Husky you really wanted.

it's a better saw with more power. but theres another 10 saws with more power and that are better saws you gotta draw the line somewhere.

346 you will be cutting an 18 well and a 20 sluggish. 357 if it is close to the 361 you will be cutting a 20 great, gives you the versatility of a fast firewood saw and the ability to fell decent size trees safely.
