as far as i know i need a model # off the saw

depending on the year is what makes a difference

The model is a S1634 with a 14" bar.

Fuel mix should be 40-1

You can go to poulanpro.com and download the manuals and parts list for a Poulan 1634, as I'm pretty sure there the same saw.

I may be wrong, but if it was made in the 80s, and if it is a horizontal engine, it may be shindawa.
