A bit off subject but a 72 cc (038 mag II) , is the Bing the best?

Kits for the bings are extremely expensive unless you buy them from bantasaw up in canada.

you have a lot to learn... and yes.. it does matter. Why not just tell us the saw and we can help you better.

Not sure the manf. of the Bing kits we use but they aren't much more then any other kit - just diaphragms/gaskets - no metering lever/spring.

I'll have to look at work - we buy them from a distribuator.
I just find they are better made, idle better and almost never give any problems. On the other hand, the 038 Tillotson works well - just need more futzing to get right and often run "rich" at the low end.

Tilotson seem to be fine, and I have a Walbro on my 365 that runs pretty good.

Two new carbs in my 200t´s in one year. New joint kit, ultrasonic cleaning, air cleaning, etc... And nothing. I hate Zama. Bing are probably the best, and of course, Walbro. No problems whit these.

I've always liked the Tilly's... but after a drunken chat with Andy... I think the Bing's are the superior carby.

Overall, I think Walbro is the most reliable and rebuildable. The bing is the answer on an 038, just too darn expensive.
