Will a 55 side cover/chain brake fit a 50 Rancher?

I picked up a 50 Rancher in decent shape except that the chain brake handle is broken off above the side cover. I see alot of listings for parts stating they fit 50s, 51s and 55's. Can anyone tell me if the side covers are interchangeable between 50's and 55's, as there certainly are a lot parts available for the 55's.

Yes,its gonna fit.Both saws share the same crankcase.

50, 50 rancher, 51, 55, and 55 rancher are all very close and all of the parts interchange
