I have been cutting blowdowns in my neighbors a 10 acre woodlot. A down tree in the wet bottom area had caught my eye but I assumed that it was willow from far away. By golly I went down there today and it was a huge smoothbark hickory! It took 3 tanks of gas in the 455 rancher to get it all cut up. Lot of wood double trunk with lots of big limbs. large trunk was 18", small trunk was 12". I hauled 1/3 of it out. Thats the slow part. My quad can pull a lot of weight but I only have a small trailer. It would be hard to get around with anything too big in those woods anyway. My back sure feels it. Those base rounds were #@#$%%^ heavy to load.
