Do any of you guys remember what thread Mike Mass created or posted on with pictures of dormant twigs? I have a buddy that wants to start a winter ID collection and I figured that the post Mike had would help.

Theres rather a good book called the guide to the identification of deciduos trees and shrubs in winter. I ordered it a few weeks back, there having difficulty getting it in the local book shop 
I've used it before its very good. And for only 5 quid <10 dollars if you can get your hands on it its worth having.
