This was a small 10" tree and has a light yellowish color when split. It's not a solid color though, just somewhat yellow. The grain is pretty smooth. Seems fairly hard and splits pretty easy. It does not have any noticeable smell. It's not Mulberry, the grain is too mild and it's not dark enough to be Mulberry. I can't remember coming across one of these before. Thanks again.

Just one more for BL. It'll take its sweet time getting down to optimum moisture content, but it's worth the wait. Watch out for the splinters- definitely harder than mild steel.
It can smell kinda funky on burning, and you should plan on mixing in a split or two of ash/maple with a load of BL to keep the flames going. It's definitely NOT "match-light."
